Research Nurse Coordinator-Women’s Cancer Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center

My current research interests involve the screening of women who are at high risk for breast cancer and drug/device clinical trials for the treatment and prevention of breast cancer. I also coordinate gyn oncology drug trials; I interact with potential study subjects so that they are informed about the opportunities to participate in clinical trials.  This coordination involves interaction with the patient and family and members of the oncology health care team such as pharmacists, medical oncologists, chemotherapy infusion nurses, social workers, nutritionists, etc. 

I would love to mentor nursing students who need assistance and guidance with scholarship information, entry into a nursing program, networking opportunities, employment guidance and general support.

I’m actively involved in other professional organizations: President Elect for the Greater Pasadena Chapter of the California Association of Nurse Practitioners; Advisory Board Member and Newsletter Editor for the Greater Los Angeles Oncology Nursing Society; Board Member and Newsletter Editor for the Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health; Advisory Board Member for Padres Contra el Cáncer; and Recording Secretary for the  Advance Practice Nurses Council at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
