President's Message
As president of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses Los Angeles Chapter, I have the privilege of representing Hispanic nurses. The current state of health care demands that nurses and advanced practice nurses play a leading role in identifying and implementing risk reduction strategies. Over the next two years we will continue to build on our strengths, but also take on new directions. We will remain committed to advancing the health in Hispanic communities and to lead, promote and advocate the educational, professional, and leadership opportunities for Hispanic nurses. We will continue to celebrate the culture, caring, and spirit of Hispanic nurses who are the leading voice of health in our communities. To ensure that all of us are able to perform our critical role: to protect, preserve and make healthcare accessible to our communities. To serve our membership and advance our mission it requires a board of directors. Our board and committees are made up of dedicated volunteers. To promote the growth & value of Hispanic nurses and to support the evolving needs of the nursing profession.
Finally, I want to express my gratitude to my current board members, and members for the time they contribute to NAHN. They commit their time, creative energies, and reflective analytical skills to address issues of concern to NAHN.
