Assemblyman Evan Low has introduced AB 2132, a TB screening bill sponsored by the Coalition for a TB Free Coalition (CTFC). Senator Maria Elena Durazo, Senator Scott Wiener, and Assemblyman Phil Ting are cosponsoring the legislation.

AB 2132 will require an adult patient receiving services in a primary care facility to be offered a TB risk assessment and TB screening, if risk factors are identified.

CTFC invites you to an open call to learn more about AB 2132 and how you can help ensure this vital legislation is passed and signed into law.

UCLA CORE Kidney Monthly CHAT Presents: 


Kidney Transplantation - Ask the Experts

Please join us for a highly interactive session on Kidney Transplantation. You will have the opportunity to ask questions from Dr. Molly Sarkar, UCLA transplant coordinators: Jill and Bethany, and most importantly our living kidney donors and recipients being represented by Brandy Hughes and Nanette Zumwalt. This program is for patients, caregivers, and the general public!!


You can also email us your questions in advance to, and we will incorporate them into the program.

Research Study Involving Ambulances - PediPART Community Meeting March 6 at 6pm

CHLA is participating in an upcoming research study entitled: Pediatric Prehospital Airway Resuscitation Trial (Pedi-PART). The goal of this study is to determine how paramedics can best care for children and teenagers who are not able to breathe effectively on their own before arriving to the hospital.  There will be a virtual community meeting to provide the greater Los Angeles Community with information about this upcoming research study and to listen to your feedback. 


The meeting will be held on March 6, 2024, from 6 PM - 7 PM via Zoom.

This meeting is open to all individuals and will be conducted in English and Spanish.
